2010 Friends' Annual Chess Tournaments

The Friends will hold their annual Chess Tournaments on all Saturdays in February at the Library.

The February 6th tournament for students in grades K through five will begin at 9:30 am.  
The February 13th tournament for grades six through eight will begin at 9:30 am.  
Both tournaments are expected to be completed by 1:00 pm.

The February 20th tournament for students in grades nine through twelve will begin at 9:30 am.  
The February 27th tournament for adults will begin at 9:30 am.  
Both tournaments are expected to be completed by 5:00 pm. 
 
Please be ready at 9:30 am so the tournaments can start promptly.

This tournament is Swiss-type, providing each player with four games. 
Three certificates will be awarded in each division.
Prior tournament competition is not necessary.
Players should bring their own standard chess sets and a snack or lunch and beverage.
Players are expected to complete all four of their games.
Players must register in advance.
There is no entrance fee required.
